Menopause is quite inevitable for all women. Its important that you know what to expect ahead of time and prepare yourself and your mind towards it, no matter how long it will take you to get that. You will definitely transit into your menopausal stage of life. I call it " A change of life for all women"!

There's going to be a time when the eggs in your Ovary will begin to gradually diminish in its number. Meanwhile, your Ovaries consists about eight thousand follicles; though it varies based on individual's body chemistry. You can expect these transition to begin between the age of forty-five to fifty-five years. Your female genital changes from a normal ovarian activity of its reproductive stage into its relatively inactive ovary period taking you into your menopausal stage for life.
However, the initial transition takes place at different times, where your body reaches its point of highest development and gets to an end of your menstrual cycles, that's the menopause. It happens that those egg follicles in your ovary resists stimulation by the hormones of the pituitary. And due to the changes that occurred in the amount of the two pituitary hormones which are called FSH(follicle stimulating hormone) and LH(luteinizing hormone).
These two pituitary hormones in your ovary had already stimulated the growth of some follicles every month, right from your adolescent stage and these two changes that took place in your ovary shows that only few egg follicles are stimulated and are gradually diminished although varies depending on the quantity of oestrogen that are released in every of your menstral cycle each month.

Based on this ocurrences, the lining of the Uterus is not well stimulated which makes your menstral flows to run slow and can be predicted most times. The amount of blood flow becomes minimal, making your menstrual period intervals to be longer than expected. What controls the duration of your menstral cycle right from your adolescent stage begins to lose its grip of cor-ordination, because the controlling hormone-secreting glands moves towards the shutting phase of its life. Meanwhile, as time passes by your fewer egg follicles are stimulated and the quantity of Oestrogen secreted are further reduced until your menstrual cycles stops entirely. That's when you enter into your menopause.

Of course, you don't expect the afford mentioned transition to become so smooth, there are some things that are bound to happen to you if not all, which I will also explain further to you.

Some women tend to have heavy bleeding episodes as their immediate surges of Oestrogen occurs which are associated with long intervals until their menstrual cycles becomes absent. At this stage, your body is going through a period of hormonal turbulence and only a minimum of that took places at your puberty stage. This body transition time is known as Climacteric. The ceasing of your menstrual cycles are known as menopause.

Some Changes That Occurs In Your Body

You will may notice some changes in your body and they occur due to some alterations in your hormone secretion that leads to the fall in Oestrogen, an absence of progesterone and then giving rise in the pituitary hormones.

Previously, some health professionals assumed that Oestrogen fell to reproduce itself after menopause, but now they're fully aware that some amount of Oestrogen in the woman's body continues to be secreted well into their old age but this happens in smaller quantity. The changes that occur in your body as you approach your menopause are based on the loss in secretion of Oestrogen.

Moreso, your breast and your genital tract tissues suffer it most, due to the Oestrogen that are actively connected to them. Due to the constant secretion of your Oestrogen (in small quantity), the degree to which your breast tissues as well as your genital tissues are affected varies based on different women's body chemistry.  If you can remember how your breasts increased in their sizes as you added some weight and had some fat deposited in your body, before you attained your menopausal period but after which you attained your climacteric stage, those fat got reabsorbed and your breast gland tissues decreased living your nipples smaller?

Although, these changes doesn't happen so fast but as you're approaching to wards your old age, your breasts gets so flat and sags. That's also what happens to your Uterus, your Oviducts as well as your Ovaries, all reduces and are no longer active. Your lining wall of your vagina gets thin and can make you feel irritated the more older you become but if you're still having an intercourse by then, these feeling of irritation may likely not happen to you.

However, another mysterious thing that takes place inside your vagina is that some tissues that surrounds its wall and offers support around it looses their support thereby living the muscles of the lower part of your pelvis to become flappy and to decrease in its elasticity, and have some degree of prolapse inside your vagina.

Although, it all depends on individual's body chemistry; it may occur either in the front wall or back wall of your vagina to enable a lump or bulge to show at the vulva. This may occur mostly when you strains or it may even happen to the Uterus itself, the cervix projecting through the entrance of your vagina.

There is no cause for alarm! You don't have to worry because the prolapse may appear more serious than it really is. This occurs simply because of the health changes that took place in the main lips of the vulva- the labia majora- which reduces in its size at the latter stage of your life. About five percent of women encounter some discomfort due to prolapse and would require a Surgery while some people's own are left untouched.

Just as I said earlier, you don't need to be afraid of anything because all these health changes all happens gradually inside your body over the years.

Symptoms Of Menopause 

Menopause in women is not the end of life but a period when you have to accept every alterations in your health and flow with the new lifestyle you find yourself in. You can easily adjust during these health changing process when you have a caring partner beside you who is also sympathetic in nature but the truth is that you cannot run away from this adjustments.

Most women passes through a lot of symptoms depending on their body chemistry. Meanwhile, health professionals cannot easily determine some particular symptoms that occurs during these adjustment especially in the hormonal changes and the diminishing of Oestrogen which are psychologically induced based on the need for adjustment in a woman's body.

Medical scientists had made some surveys on some well women to find out some symptoms that leads to menopause but am going to expansiate some of the major symptoms which are also narrowed to the reduction of Oestrogen in a woman's body and these include:

1). Irregularities in menstruation
 When you're approached your menopause, there are three different pattern of menstruation your body may likely encounter which are as follows: your may find your menstrual period begin normal and then ceases at intervals than it should be on a regular bases,

 Secondly, your menstrual period may begin to flow slowly than normal and then continues to flow slowly but for a longer duration until it stops,
Thirdly, you may be having an irregularities in your menstrual cycles. Sometimes, you may have a heavy flow and other times very slow with some unpredicted intervals.

2). Hot flushes

About three quarter of women that are having their menopause passes through some hot flushes. Hot flush is an immediate rush of feeling of heat that runs over a woman's body, it's like a blush spreading over your face and neck. It may happen just for a little time and then suddenly disappears from your face and body.  Most times, you can experience the hot flush during the daytime and also at night - the night flush can be associated with sweat and the insomnia. Hot flush can also be triggered by some tingling sensations and excitements in menopause causing sudden heat to run allover your body. They are often linked to the fall of hormones in the body of a woman.

3). Vaginal dryness and Burning

Up to seven percent of women undergoes the feeling of dryness in their vagina. They only observe it during sexual intercourse with their partner cause their vagina cannot lubricate well. If you are having sexual intercourse on regular bases, your chances of having vagina dryness will be greatly reduced, unlike some menopausal women who have sex after a long period of time.

Treatment You Can Take During Menopause

You can take some treatments during menopause, especially if you always find it distressing and tend to have some unpleasant servere pain due to vaginal dryness. I will advice you to consult your doctor for your health treatment which will cure the pain, prevent you from having heart attack and as well as giving you a feeling of Well-being.

The good news is that, all these things are temporal, so don't allow yourself to be consumed by those strange feelings you may be passing through. Soon your body will be fully re-adjust to the menopausal lifestyle. And you will be enjoying your new life. During this new phase, you don't get confined in a place, its adviceable for you to move around, and socialize with your friends and have fun in other to avoid those emotional imbalance and turbulence menopause may bring to you. Try to occupy your mind with some positive thoughts because of some psychological changes that may likely occur during menopause.
